Guided tours by order

Basic guided tour:

• getting to know the basic and/or changing exhibition of the museum with a guide

• duration approximately 1 h, or according to the wishes of the group

• price 15 € (1-10 persons), 25 € (groups of over 11 persons)

“Woman Carrying a Tray” role guidance

• During the tour, Ms. Kekäläinen will take the visitors on a time journey to the beginning of the 1970’s, introduce the central works of Eero Nelimarkka, and tell vivid stories about the production and life of the artist.

• duration 45 min

• price 30 €/ group

• Role guidance is performed by order.

Guided tours free of charge on Wednesdays at 14:00

 

Workshops

“Barns and Plains” workshop

• getting to know the landscape paintings of Eero Nelimarkka, and painting a landscape

• includes the entrance fee, guided tour, materials, guidance and a snack

• suitable for school kids, families and groups

• duration approximately 2 h

• price 50 € (1-20 persons)

Changing exhibition’s workshop

• getting to know the changing exhibition and making art according to the theme of the exhibition

• includes the entrance fee, guided tour of the exhibition, materials, guidance and a snack

• duration approximately 2 h

• price 50 € (1-20 persons)

Residence artist’s workshop

• depending on the possibilities of the artist, a workshop planned by the artist or participation in a workshop organized by the museum

Workshops outside the museum

• workshops in rest homes, companies, clubs etc.

• includes a visual introduction to the theme, materials and guidance

• duration can be agreed according to the group

• price 8 €/ person + kilometre allowance

• group size 5-10 persons

Other services

TYKY workshop

• TYKY workshop of Nelimarkka Museum opens doors and windows not only to the art and life of the Ostrobothnian artist Eero Nelimarkka, but to modern art and the making of art as well

• the content can be agreed according to the group (getting to know the exhibitions, making art, role guidance, coffee with cupcakes, refreshing etc.), in addition a possibility for lunch at the Red Cottage Wine Estate

• duration approximately 3 h

• price 20 €/ person, group size 5-15 persons

• the price includes the entrance fee of the museum, guided tours, workshop materials and guidance, and coffee

“Paint and Ride” theme week

• organized in co-operation with Alajärvi Horse Riding School

• During mornings and afternoons the participants can ride and take care of the horses, during the day the participants are provided with art workshops in the museum premises (2-3 hours/day).

• the art workshop includes guided tours of the exhibitions, materials, guidance and a snack

• During the summer 2010, the theme week is held on July 26th-30th.

Coffee house Cafè de Nelimarkka

• coffee with Nelimarkka cupcake, 4 €

• also available “Saima coffee”: coffee with cupcake served by “Eero Nelimarkka’s wife Saima”, 5 €

• in the summer the coffee house is open during museum opening hours, during the winter advance booking is required
